A comment from a New Zealand golfer…. from my perspective the PGA had taken over the world of golf. It had taken all the best players. It had made the rest of the world a B grade event. It was not good for the world of golf. The world is a big place and if LIV can get a proper world tour going it will be great. I believe there will be more events from LIV spread around the world going forward.
Great interview! Missed you Garrett at Hunting Creek in Kentucky!!! Shit! If I'd have known you were going to be there we would have gone down to our place at HCCC that week! We are members up in MN at the TPC in Blaine and HCCC in KY. Just so happened to be up at our place in MN at the time. If you get the Good Good train rolling for another tour it would be great to see a schedule!!! Maybe stop up at te TPC for the 3M in 2024? Anyway, great interview with a very interesting and passionate BD! I like hearing about his mods with his clubs. I for one started golfing later in life but I def feel that passionte side of things. For me it has been music my whole life but golf became a new passion I could chase down. Even after being worn down by decades of physically demanding work (which takes it's toll). Sold my business, retired (Lots more time on my hands) so GOLF took a hold of me. 540 rounds on the sim in 2 years and dozens at each course each summer. It's been FUN! And this brings it back to relating to that passionate part. That's where so much lies. Driven, passionate people don't do things like this for the money, nor the fame but inevitably it's just like music, the great ones do it because they're driven and passionate! Again, great interview and a very Good Good channel. Someone needs to interview you Garrett for your insights and experiences!
Pretty rare I sit and listen to a whole podcast but this was some damn good content. Love Bryson and how much he’s involved in YouTube. Probably my favorite pro behind tiger. And garrett great interviewer. Great conversing between these 2, you can tell that they have a friendship and this chat is very genuine and that Bryson feels he can open up to garrett
Also respect Garrett’s interviewing as far as he’s not pushing buttons. If Bryson doesn’t want to talk about something, Garrett leaves it at that. Can’t stand it when interviewers poke at prod at a subject that the interviewee clearly doesn’t want to talk about or even can’t talk about.
“If you’re a fan of golf, more golf is good” LOL. Bro, say whatever you want in front of Bryson to appease him, but I cannot believe you said that with a straight face. To even suggest this has been good for pro golf is actually insulting lol
The takeaway is that if PIF didn't bring the $$$$ Bryson and the rest would have not left the PGA Tour and made a Kings Ransom playing the game they love. LIV is NOT making the game better and Bryon praising his buddy HE is cringe as fuck. I get justifying ones decision is what makes him good with it so it's refreshing to see the thought process even if I disagree.
"Financial stability is one of the most important things in life…" It's not even top 5.
Physical health #1: If you don't feel good, money won't make you happy. Go give a 10,000$ to someone with cancer, they probably won't even crack a smile.
Mental health #2: If you are unwell in the head, life is impossible to enjoy under any circumstance.
Family #3: If you are alone, all your riches are borderline meaningless. Happiness and love, unshared, is almost indistinguishable from greed and selfishness.
Time #4: If you spend all your time doing something you hate, to make money, you will eventually embody that hatred. Also, almost nobody looks back on their life and thinks, "Man, I should have made MORE MONEY." Instead, most people think, "I should have enjoyed more moments." But, from birth, we are programmed to believe the "rat race" and/or "grinding" will allow us to achieve happiness. But, it doesn't. It's a lie, i.e. brainwashing, to keep society operating at a high level.
Faith #5: If you don't have faith, in SOMETHING, ANYTHING, you will go through life suffering from ANXIETY and/or DEPRESSION. It can be faith in yourself, in God, in the Universe, in your world-view, in your philosophy, in your intuition, etc. Nearly every person I know who doesn't have a strong faith (in SOMETHING) is a TORTURED individual.
Outlook on life/personal philosophy #6: I grew-up in a very wealthy suburb of Chicago, and many of the wealthiest people I knew were EASILY the most miserable. They were often VERY cynical, and they were usually DEFINED by their "things." Meanwhile, some of the poorest people I knew were actually the happiest.
I like Bryson and will not judge except to say money that has been involved in bad stuff down the line is not the same as receiving it directly from bad people. Interesting way to justify.
To keep it real, I still watch the PGA but they are obviously a liberal network…owned by Black Rock and vanguard. They think they are something special and hold all this power even when they dont. CBS, NBC, CNN….all liberal lying trash media companies that people should tune into and watch but DO NOT listen and take to heart anything those 🤡 have to say…they are helping spread false messages/narratives that are destroying America. And if you can't see that, you ARE apart of the problem. The near future is going to get very bad, very very bad. If you're in denial about it, you're in for a rude awakening. You'll see soon enough.
@brysondechambeau, I got into the game because of you during covid. Truly inspirational for what you stand for. I loved this podcast, took alot from it. but one thing stood out 😂. i spent everything i got on cobra equipment, because you used it. But now, in this episode you said they werent that great. Damn man 😂
I'm sure this comment will be deleted shortly after it is posted, but so much of this interview isn't rooted in truth. For instance, where the Tour conveniently 'came up with money', the use of the term 'merger', the 'freedom' LIV players now have – and the whole time Bryson just keeps saying "I wish I could say more" like it's some smoking gun. I wish some more research was done prior to the interview and I wish Garrett could critically think about the answers provided rather than just agreeing. I will agree on one thing – I'd rather have the money in Bryson's hands than Saudi Arabia's. I miss Bryson being on main stream television – he is must-see-TV.
Justin Rose did not make his first 18 (there or there abouts) cuts when he turned pro off the back of his performance at The Open as an amature when he finished Top 5 (or even better maybe – 3rd / 2nd?).
Classic case of a misunderstood human being. But Bryson came out on top, despite all of the ridicule and degrading comments against him. Great interview that enlightens us to Bryson's background and motivations (which are inspiring and honorable IMO).
Garrett did a great job. He just has to learn to let the conversation flow versus dictating where it goes next. It's early in his podcast career he'll get dialed in.
Love good food but g-rat is such a softballer giving Bryson super easy questions and either to afraid or clueless to push back on some of his points. Plenty of examples where Garrett could have progressed this conversation and really cornered some of Brysons talking points.
I always supported the players that went to liv, you would be stupid to turn down that kind of money and everyone would’ve accepted it even though they all say they wouldn’t but in reality they just didn’t get offered, lost all respect for the pga when they were slagging liv off and then one day decided they were joining because they got bought out 🤡
Speed of light 🤣🤣🤣 omg good podcast but that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Engineers can easily make a robot swing faster than a human and hit the center of the face perfectly.
so basically Liv golf just paid Bryson and other golfers to actually care less about Golf because now they have really made it $$$ and don't have to grind for it anymore creating a proper golf legacy…interesting
I’m a Crusher fan, never was a Bryson fan but I have really changed my view and opinion of him since he joined LIV. Keep up the Great work… & I’m not a younger viewer (55)… Rahm’s team will be called the “ Sandblasters GC “ you heard it here first 🥸😎 cheers guys 🥃🍻🍷🇨🇦
Bryson just speaks the truth. Jay monahan is the worst and should be fired. Pga wants to treat players like they own them yet they are independent contractors. LIV made the pga your so much better. FU rory
I appreciate hearing Bryson's perspective on LIV but I mean how can you have an honest conversation about it without mentioning the bad TV ratings? Generally the broadcast is hard to watch – you just don't care about the team event and you don't feel the drama that a PGA Tour broadcast adds. Do they have any plans on making this work or are they just hoping that the TV audience will slowly start liking it?
Biggest problem l have with LIV that they did not mention at all is they want we world rankings playing only 3 rds ,shot gun start .I can only belive quality of golf cannot be as good.
Glad Bryson justified me buying a fitted set of P790s. Will have to show the wife.

Where is he now??? No where around…first time hesring about since the LIV change🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️ goodluck with the $120
"A great guy" = someone who orders the murder of journalists, oppresses women, and funds terrorist activity.

The pressuring of courses to not host a LIV event is BS by the PGA and USGA.

Enjoyed every second of this POD
🤙🏾😎

I would have liked to know what his opinion is on combining more women and men in tournaments and if LIV is considering womens golf.
There's no player that joined LIV that wasn't already FINANCIALLY stable… beyond STABLE!!!
I tried watching Liv..after 20 minutes it was clear that it was a joke. Trying to reinvent golf is a bad idea and unfair to the real fans of golf

Many didn't like where the money came from for LIV golfers, but, they still filled their fuel tanks up.
"there was a deposition that didn't go well…"
interesting
Brysons new nickname is FLASH . Speed of light
I think now he forgets to say he is owned by the Saudis
Wow! What a story!
Justin Rose did not make his first 18 (there or there abouts) cuts when he turned pro off the back of his performance at The Open as an amature when he finished Top 5 (or even better maybe – 3rd / 2nd?).

Bryson believes God told him to play golf….okay
Garrett did a great job. He just has to learn to let the conversation flow versus dictating where it goes next. It's early in his podcast career he'll get dialed in.
Anyone see this guy as being corny and phony

Why is this not on Spotify??

I don't think Bryson DeChambeau is honest here and is a bit under delusion.
Speed of light 🤣🤣🤣 omg good podcast but that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Engineers can easily make a robot swing faster than a human and hit the center of the face perfectly.

Patrick is a cheat full stop
Cant find this on spotify or apple
Bryson D – the world's most misunderstood golfer
I've been watching golf for 25 years and I've never had a favourite player. I realize now I have one and it is Bryson.
Really enjoyed this pod. Would like to see more of these with others pros.
Did everyone catch that yawn by Garett around the 1:34:47 mark as if he’s been there-done-that as Bryson describes his 58?? 🥱 😂👍🏌🏼♀️⛳️
Bryson just speaks the truth. Jay monahan is the worst and should be fired. Pga wants to treat players like they own them yet they are independent contractors. LIV made the pga your so much better. FU rory
Great insight from Byrson.
Unfortunate to suffer though Garrett sniffing his nose 8,000 times 😂
BD is a great guy.

He might as well go play LIV as he can't win on the regular tour
