And the same can be said for the PGA Tour players! They will be left scratching their heads, when the reality hits that LIV and the PGA Tour merge – and some players turned down tens if not hundreds of millions of dollars, while they're back at square one again.

At the end the biggest losers are we the audience, who get to watch two watered-down tournaments. Honestly I couldn’t care less about what players/directors think or feel about the whole thing, I just want golf back to its former glory.

I didn’t watch rhams response but my guess is they picked out only one portion of his comments that fit their narrative…

Tell me if I’m wrong but this is the golf channel right? Doesn’t all golf matter no matter where the player plays? Why is the PGA the only thing that matters to the golf channel. LIV is a golf organization with amazing players, stop dogging them for decisions they made. Break down the game of golf not the leagues and players. The golf channel doesn’t get to decide what is good and what isn’t in an organization. The have become the CNN of Golf just report the golf news don’t give your own personal political opinion on sport! Thank you from a loyal golf fan!!!!!

PGA tour don’t need the PIF money . The Saudi’s need to buy better players they need to go after Scheffler and McIlroy but they’ll have to pay a hell of a lot more for those two than what they paid for Rahm. I don’t think the Saudi’s will do it though they naively think Spieth, Woods and co will make a deal with them. This will never happen until PIF buy the biggest stars on the pga tour. Rahm was a start but the PGA tour can survive without Rahm but if they get Scheffler and McIlroy then the pga tour won’t survive . They have several hundred billion dollars in their coffers but it’ll probably take billions of dollars to get the top two ranked golfers.

People keep forgetting about Koepka too. Finished second at the Masters (should have won that, but CHOKED his god damn brains out), then wins the hardest major….The PGA. 5x major champion. He is the best 'major player' in the last era since Tiger.

A Jon quote… "I'm assuming there will be quite a few that are not happy, but from my side nothing changes. I still respect everybody on both sides and respect the game of golf above all… really? Respect the game above all? Except money.. that you didn't need. Soul in isolation.

The question really is: how much more money will Jay Monahan make by merging the PGATour and LIV Golf ? how much will his salary and bonus increase? All the talk about “growing the game” is all nonsense. It is all about money and personal bank accounts. In 2023 170 people were executed by the Saudi Government. LIV players accept blood money from a Saudi regime that steps on human rights, on democracy and women's right. If you want to grow the game then first of all start growing as humans and grow your human values. Step up for people which are being suppressed and tortured – and stop lying and taking us for a ride. Who cares if Jon Rahm will play the Ryder Cup again. His swing is ugly anyway and nobody wants to watch a player who has blood money in his pockets.

If you look at liv , so many are euro or otherwise they are accustomed to golf overseas. They don’t have any true like to be playing golf or allegiance to usa. Greg Norman is the putin of golf. There literally can’t be 2 tours, especially if you change the format. Just like nfl, nhl, nba… sorry but that’s how it is. To be the best you have to compete in a league where you earn the right to be there. Norman would have been better off to create a pan, euro , Saudi ..tour with ties to pga where players could earn points. Norman is a greedy money grabber himself always has been. Saudi to should have left well enough alone and just tried to develop their own tour stops. Liv is a travesty, a traveling clown show that has alienated golf fans just like trump has done to American voters.

Selling out doesn't get you anything but more money. Legacy is lost for these LIV guys. I hope the PGA doesn't megre with PIF

LIV has a ton of talent, but the whole approach/presentation feels like Harlem Globetrotters compared to the NBA in terms of how it stacks up with the other major professional golf tours. You can add a bunch of bells and whistles (loud music and fans, fireworks, tacky graphics, and bikini girls handing out trophies) to make golf more entertaining for people who don't really like golf, but at the end of the day, true golf fans will prefer a product without all the extra nonsense.

Dear Jon, I understand that you're an entitled little brat whose only gift is the ability to hit a golf ball. Like most professional athletes, you work hard on your craft but have no clue about the real world and history. I've been a golfer and golf fan all my life. I don't want to watch you play. Take your millions, feel sorry for yourself, but please go away.

Roham deserves respect. His ball striking and putting are sensational. Not dominant like Jack and Tiger.
Scottie might have the ability to put golf first over family. And dominate like the greats.
