I love the Masters, for me it marks the real start to the season. The Track maybe the best golf course in the world. But let's be honest, by far, it has the weakest field among the Majors. Ex-winners who have no chance and no business participating take up the spots of others who CAN. Who wants to see an overweight Sandy Lyle waddling around with SUSPENDERS holding his pants up? As a huge fan of the Game, I want the very BEST COMPETITION! I don't to see someone shooting 86 and leave after Fridays round year after year. They invite people to participate I've never seen or heard of. Name one of these obscure invitees who finished in the top 10-30. There are a number of PGA Tournaments with far stronger fields than the Masters and that is a shame. We know the Club can break from their tradition, they did allow a man of colour to join AND finally, a woman! Both were banned for many decades. And this pre-occupation with Eldrick is way too much…he won't even make the cut. He has often said he won't play if he didn't think he could win…I guess his ego has betrayed him. He surely WON'T be given a COURTESY CAR. Augusta National's self adulation, pomp & ceremony has become nausiating. It's similar to England's Royals and they're all scoundrels. I'm a huge fan of the Masters…I am NOT a patron. It's comical watching, listening to the commentators taking great care to be…proper.

Most of those "64" players are past winners so they are always invited. I can see 2 maybe 3 of them getting a sniff. We will see if playing team golf and 3 days a week with a check already in the mail will affect them. Everybody has a price. I just want to see great golf being played by the best.
