It's all the nasty, surly guys going to liv. I won't miss the guy – couldn't care less.
Money talks!
The zPGA betrayed all the player. Screwed Rory and screwed the pooch. Give me 100 mil a year to say by to Jay Monahan. See Ya
PGA are they depending on Tiger playing to keep the Audience/revenue Will Charlie & Lil Jon be the next generation PGA focus on
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉Congratulations Jon Rambo THE FACE OF LIV GOLF for making the best dession for JON & his family also getting respected & acknowledged as player by LIV not PGA PROPERTY✌🏽
LiIv Is 10 x better to watch on live stream better quality picture no commercials fans get to talk love it
Alright let's go ……A threesome of Johnson, Dechambeau and Rahm….come on – you can't beat that!
With the way PIF/LIV are running their league, it's clear it is not being run as a business. It's strictly expenditures. It's a hobby of MBS. Therefore, another league run as a business can not compete. PGA Tour is toast. How long will the Saudis continue to pay billions of dollars annually with little to no return? As long as the world needs oil, I suspect the answer is a very long time.
I hope he joins Phil on the Hy Flyers.
more to come folks, its a good tour, better for family and they listen to the players, not to mention they take care of the caddies
Rahm is a turn coat so sad
Maybe he can buy a legacy, never be in the same class as Nicklaus or Tiger !
Has shown what he is and long time haggling over the price
Jay's role? His downfall started when he told Phil to f-off when Mickelson wanted to discuss a path forward on monetizing media rights. Something could have been worked out at that point in time but no Monahan told Phil to walk. So Phil took his golf ball and walked right into a 700 BILLION DOLLAR bag of cash courtesy of MBS & the Saudi Kingdom. And the 4 majors did not bail out Jay & the PGA Tour. So here we are…
Laughable amount of money for ONE golf player but a huge trump card for PIF in their hostile takeover attempt of professional Golf. Don’t blame Rahm although just own it and say it was too much money to turn down. Who knows what happens next, but part of me doesn’t care anymore. Money wins.
The PGA Tour had it's time and run… The END is near for the PGA Tour it’s just a matter of time. History repeats itself !!! Circle of the Sport and what goes around comes around. More players will join LIV. Let’s be reminded that GOLF greats like Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Arnold Palmer, Lee Trevino and their other mates who way back then played tournaments under the PGA of America (founded in 1916) in 1960 began the process of breaking away and in 1975 the organization they created achieved full independence from the PGA of America and was named the "PGA Tour." The coming of LIV Golf is no different … In reality PGA tour is a SUNSET tour. Changing of the Guards !!
PGA went woke with BLM and more. Go woke. Go broke baby. Make golf great again. Woohoo.
Yeeeeeah!!
Another generational player gone, disappointing, i like Rambo.
Good on Rahm! You played the interviews…he pledged his loyalty to PGA…then Jay did what he did…so why wonder why Rahm changed his mind if he can't trust the PGA…? And I look forward to seeing who will be following him shortly…and the shock in your PGA-loyalists eyes…lol
You're crazy if you think Rahm is going to win more than half the tournaments on LIV. People really underestimate the level of talent that exist on LIV and in golf especially where the best players still lose more than win. My guess is he'll win 2 tournaments next season.
Going to be more crying in the coming weeks when 3 to 5 PGAT players go to LIV.
I don't understand what the fuss is about. In other sports they move for better be it money or circumstances. This is what he did. People are allowed to change their minds. The turning point…Jay Monohan and the PGA lost the trust of many players and especial Jon Rahm. All the best to him. Hopefully they can work around getting all the tours aligned.
Love the show, but in this case stop defending the poor leadership by Monaghan & pgatour (golf channel agenda) that does not report the facts. Unfortunately money wins. Greg Norman’s world tour will happen which is what the fans want. Unfortunately America has to eat humble pie.
PGAT banned grown men who were making long term decisions for their families. Cam Smith was one of the nicest and humble guys on Tour. They banned him from TPC Sawgrass and removed his parking spot while he was the reigning Players Champion. That petty stuff turned me against the PGAT. That along with using the 911 families as pawns was beyond petty.
I wonder if John Rahm wasn't in the loop because he is great friends with many of the LIV guys. It's no secret that he is really close with Phil and Sergio.
Respect symlie for acknowledging the top guys on Liv being unreal talent
Good on Mr Rahm! 👏👏👏👏
PGA tour leadership is the problem, not the golfers that choose to go
Seve is turning in his grave, pathetic
Golf is turning into other sports. Guys getting paid way to much to play a game even if they don't play well. I miss when sports were about competition.
@17.40. Rahm just opened the floodgates for the next exodus…
Honest, if not piercing, thoughts. All these guys who touted the PGA’s moral superiority are not doing eulogies and reversals, realizing their principles are subject to change. What are these guys going to do when PIF is signing their checks? Pretty sure they’ll keep working. Ultimately, it will be interesting to see what Rahm’s calculus is in terms of the outcome of all this, but it wouldn’t be unreasonable to think he is confident that a resolution will be favorable to his move – meaning, he’ll play wherever he wants.
It’s pathetic seeing all the people worship money 💴 and take it from anybody 👎
how much money does a person need…
Money > Saudi human rights violations
Great discussion guys. Big blow to the Tour with Rahmbo gone however the way I see it being in Film&Television, is LIV still needs to attract sponsors to an unproven "tarnished" product and land a legit television deal to a new sport league airing on a Network with a declining viewership. CW Network is not cutting it and although Rahm is a huge grab, he is still not enough to bring in huge Sponsors/advertisers/tv. LIV has been a novelty factor too but if the golf is not generating true viewership/interest then it is still within the cards for LIV to slither into the abyss. The only true Golf story LIV created this past season was Bryson's 58, as opposed to the countless PGA drama/stories most recently Van Rooyen's win. Golf Viewers LOVE the stories and drama and the Drama LIV creates is all about money and who they signed and rumors. That never lasts and It's almost impossible for LIV to recoup their current loses and Normans idea of team stakes is not going to do it. LIV lacks drama and stories. I also bet Rahm will not be happy within the LIV environment. Time will tell.
Get rid of the PGA's divider in chief, Jay Monahan. Healthy competition is just that. Fans want the best competing! Between tours, too!
the Rahm signing is not that big of a deal – but the next one is going to BE HUGE
Sucks
In a way, this reminds me of when the American Football League started in the early 60s. With some big money, they were able to lure some big names from the NFL. For years they operated separately. Finally, the merger occurred and the rest is history. Maybe the same will happen with golf.
I heard all of the things that Jon previously said. However, HALF A BILLION DOLLARS has a certain sound to it!
"I want to grow the game of golf". That has played out to be the safe and shiny umbrella a lot of LIV newsigns suddenly hides under. And the golfworld are blinded by the shiny words. The Rahm I love and could relate to was all about winning and beating records.
LIV say they are growing the game but I say they are destroying the game. Golf is not in a desperate need of growing. Is there any other sport that talk about that as much as golf. If 10-20 more top players goes to LIV I wont wach the PGA Tour or any other tour. LiV golf is just imposible to wach.
Amazing how golf turned out to be so vulnerable to be totally fucked up by money. Maby all sports would cave in. But like this?
Any suggestions on how PIF can throw money and fuck up a nother sport😂?
All the players who towed the PGA party lines to the public were then betrayed, so I guess now it's every man for himself.
Why we are hearing "It's no big deal" and "Nobody watches it" from certain quarters, to the rest of the world he is a legend and people will be watching him irrespective of where he plays, golf is not owned by the PGA, The players are the stars.
Also all Rahm's Major sponsors are 100% behind him, what does that tell you about future media deals for LIV.
Make no mistake LIV will get bigger and bigger, fuelled by all the negativity and disrespect it has been constantly getting from one corner. (it's a mountain of free publicity)
Mo money mo problems! 🤑💰💸
Poor guy could not support his family on s mere 17 million dollars… Too soon. Hell he did not even have the balls to tell people how much money they paid him.. also if liv is so wonderful why does it take over 100 million to get them to play for them??.
how long before we see a Ryder type format against PGA vs LIV players?
If you a pro golfer there are sacrifices to be made. You will say fu-k you to family church and serving your country
