Who wins the Golf War and why is it LIV? 🤣✌️
PIF are about to buy mens and womens tennis . They just pulled the trigger today
PGA is like US empirical colonialism, won't last because of injustice.
LIV should just buy the DP world tour and use it as their farm system
RIP LiV Golf
I’m kinda jealous of that signed fireballs flag. Is that the OG fireballs or the new crew?
The pga tour is not going to disappear. LIv could expand to a 100 plus but I think about 54 is what they want. It’s just a matter of getting the best 54 possible based on good ol fashion school yard style picks…which we all know is the best rankings system of all.
I literally look at how much guys get paid in all Sports to have the best idea of who’s the best players.
In golf I’d say rahm is pretty good..
The pga tour imo will settle back in to being the top full field, cut, 72 hole golf tour in the world. They will have to let the top LIv guys come back as much as they can.
Norman proposed this change in professional golf quite a few years back only to get snubbed by Monahans who essentially rallied the troops to nix it on a vote. Monahans bides his time and began implementing some of these ideas, which of course pissed Norman off royally. Norman gets funding from a source beyond his wildest dreams and LIV is created. Being a non profit, Monahans knew his tour was between a rock and a hard place, especially when LIV survived and thrived. Monahans whored the tour out to a group of investors who are going to be expecting a return on that massive cash infusion. Now the PGA is copying LIV even more with talk of limited fields and schedules initiated by Rory, who Monahans hung out to dry. I see Rory fielding his own team and joining LIV. He's already packed up and moved to England under the guise of better education for his kids, and the very person who used him as a sacrificial lamb to cheerlead for the PGA against LIV is now in an executive position for the PGA, Monahans. There are details to be worked out, but I think the PGA should limit tournaments to 25 events, plus the majors, start Thursdays with 125, and the bottom 25 cut. Then after Friday's scores, keep only the top 75 plus ties. The cream will rise to the top. Also, ditch the political tool OWGR that they're using strictly to keep LIV players from spanking their egos should they win a regular tournament or a major. In fact, the PGA should field a couple of 4 man teams and challenge LIV teams to exhibition matches. Make the formats exciting for the fans, because that's what LIV is doing, and succeeding at.
Any "Invitational" (ie non-PGA Tour controlled) event should invite the best. As for rivalry, look at the Ryder Cup etc. Fierce, excellent, TEAM competition. I would propose a PGA Tour – LIV WGCC (World Golf Challenge Cup) in which 2 events are involved. One with a typical PGA Tour method (4-days, with cut) and the other being a typical LIV method (3 days, individual and team). Depending on finishes by individuals and teams, either PGA Tour or LIV wins the cup. It would be epic!
It is the "run-of-the-mill" PGA grinder that stands to lose the most. Right now, there is more money available for weaker fields. That means more grinders can make a living on the tour. They want to opt for the status quo. The most recent tour events featured grinders that no one has ever heard of. The "signature" events featured a few top guys but mostly the B and C class of touring pros. Just an inferior product in an inferior presentation with ever more commercials and less of what the fans really want … quality, competitive golf featuring the best in the world performing at the highest level.
OWGR is a private company who made them the arbiters of golf? The PGATOUR has abandoned the fans and the players.
PGA tour traitors fell off the face of the earth when they defected to LIV and no one misses them. Except maybe Rahm.
The pga tour play right now is pathetic unwatchable Jay and his fat pay check need to go.
The PGA Tour guys are SO dumb. It's quite obvious that LIV planned its tour AROUND golf's big tournaments. Nobody on LIV wanted to skip the Players Championship, Pebble Beach, etc., but PGAT shot themselves in the foot with their obsession of monopolizing the game of golf. If PGAT said the LIV guys can rejoin the Tour and play when and where they want, it would get all the top players in its top tournaments, get the sponsors back, get the TV money and golf fans would be way happier. One of the ironies of LIV is that PGAT said it was competing with its tournaments, but PGAT sometimes has two tournaments in the same week, competing with itself. It's just lunacy how these guys think.
The LPGA found a way to work with the PIF in the Aramco Team Series offering Rolex World Ranking points and Solheim Cup points to the individual players without forcing the ladies to choose between which tour they were going to play………..Just sayin, it's time for all of the boys to grow up and end the pissing contest, it's ruining your sport!!!
Who cares?
I have nothing against LIV golf, but their broadcasts are unwatchable.
