Tiger is already qualified for Players, PGA and US Open due to his 2019 Masters win. 2024 is his last year exempt into them. Plus, he can play the Masters for life and the British Open until he's 60 as past winners.

Good chat guys. So many other things….how was world ranking points given to The Hero event, also no cut? Have the PGA's arrogance come back to bite them? Jay has definitely got to go!

Fun podcast again, guys. Great insight. I do turfgrass research at a University and work with the USGA Agronomy staff. They have been promoting forward tees on golf courses for over 20 years. Many courses have followed their advice and spent a lot of money building these tees. Rolling back the ball for everyone would work against these changes. The problem is the pros and elite amateurs hit it too far for many golf courses, making them unusable for tournament play. The game is already really difficult for most people.

So impressed by Sepp and his swing he has more fans then he realizes. Hope Rahm does not got to LIV and would be very surprised he would forego winning tournaments that represent the games History like Bay Hill, Players etc.. Seems antithetical to his competitive attitude as Smylie said plus it's antithetical to what he said about money changing his lifestyle and lack of meaning and history in LIV tournaments. Really hope this is a rumor but Mickelson stating it's a done del worries me it's true. Charlie looking good continued healing! Way to go buddy! Great show guys!

Players to look out for that are rumoured to jump are Rahm Finau Cantlay Day Siwoo Sunjaey Hideki Woodland Meronk. That's the risks . Add Xander if Cantlay and possibly Hovland, PGAT might be in trouble . There still a rumour TGL players merge with LIV under an agreement. Thinks might get wild . Or nothing might happen who knows 😊

Scattershooting….. why doesn't somebody (not you) call Jon Rahm and ask for clarification. With his love of the Ryder Cup, why would he want to join LIV and no longer get to play in it.
Since both Opens have open qualifying and the Masters invites who they want, doesn't that just leave the PGA Championship as the only tournament to not include LIV? Seems like that could be solved in about 5 minutes. If you've won in the last 12 months, you're in,

Love this show; you're killin` me Smyls!

Why not grow the fairways and rough? The ball will spin less and make it tougher for players to hold greens. To adjust they will play a higher spin ball and hit the ball shorter? The amateurs already play fairways like this..

I wish Woods would just retire. I never really see why people like him so much, hes miserable, doesnt engage, never smiles unless he has to, isnt articulate, is humourless has no personality, he's basically a pantomime villain.
Yes he USED to be a top player, but hes made so many mistakes hes absolutely destroyed what was left of his career because hes a too stuoid to realise actions have consequences. .

He is obviously on steroids like most pro athlete's. Lets just call it as it is. He has been on them on and off for 25 years now.

I think Tiger should play Sony in Hawaii as his January event. It's flat and weather is always good.
It'd be a nice treat for the Hawaiian fans.

Yet another great pod. The Tiger schedule chat got me thinking, could we see him at the Olympics? Literally the only thing he hasn't won

Tiger is playing well enough to win an average PGA tournament, perhaps in late 2024 even. i couldn't care less who goes to LIV. i'll watch the real golf, even if its just Korn Ferry or DP World tour players.

Love the show guys. I think I really don't care about who goes to LIV anymore, the PGA Tour is a mess and has really left me not caring anymore. It seems like just a big money game now, no real love for the game, just make as much money as possible. Ill be tuning in to LIV a lot more now with Rahm gone and Cantlay and Xander to follow.

Looking forward to the day everyone gives up the Tiger worship. It's sickening. Real story is the division being sewn by the PGA. That's what they're growing. Don't be sheep.
