If the rank-and-file players choose to sue the people charged with their representation because their issues were not properly negotiated (regardless of whether it’s with LIV or SSG), then any deal is off and LIV is free to “poach” any top players and the PGA Tour implodes. As great as Tiger was for the tour, exposing the leaderships’ flaws was inevitable.

Information should surely be shared by the players who are on the board, after all they are supposed to be representing the players

PGA is run by a man who has no idea on how to communicate with the players and I’m surprised more players have not defected since July.

The players of the PGA Tour now realize that they have been sheep and were being led by the Bad Shepherd, Jay Monahan. Now that they have realized this, after the stars have taken the LIV offers and they seen that Monahan was negotiating with the PIF behind their backs, they realize their leadership has been anything but honest with them. Maybe, they should have listened to Phil earlier.

If they were smart they would unionize.

The pga tour brass and players still act salty over LIv players suing them. So how should they feel now the players still on the tour are threatening to sue them ?

I totally get where the rank and file Tour guys are coming from. But the last thing Jay and Co need during the negotiations is to keep those bottom feeders informed about everything, when they don’t even seem to know what they are doing.

One way the pga tour could keep this bottom feeder group happy is by simply making ALL the signature events —or whatever they call them this week— FULL field; which everyone enjoyed even without the LIv guys. Imagine with them also ?

Soon enough the top pga tour events will want to make room for everyone, including LIv. But for now keep these guys happy by including them in the top events.

Here’s the deal for me (money talk aside):
LIv is the world tour taking the top 75 best players over the last 10 years —using both short and long term metrics of success ala the pga tour giving two years for a win, 5 years for a major win, and a lifetime exemption for 20 wins—-around the world, and the events are co sanctioned by all tours.
The pga tour sticks to its full field traditions and schedules it’s top events so LIv players can compete with the top players on the pga tour.
The bottom feeders on the pga tour need to play their way into the top pga tour events and eventually LIvs world tour.
The rest of the tours around the world also have chances to go directly into LIv, but may also move to the pga tour, which should continue to be the easiest way to get into LIv.
Anyone whom doesn’t like where they are truly just need to play better. Rahm is a personality, he is growing on many people as he matures, but the reason he is half a billion richer is because he WINS. At the end of the day this is about competition
So as Mr Davis always said:
    Just win baby!

Well, as Phil found out and let everyone know, pga has always operated like this. Treat the players like mushrooms: keep them in the dark and feed them s**t.

The conflict of interest is genuine and it involves TGL and Tiger Woods and Rory MIIroy since they are part of the Fenway consortium group. Once the PGA players and their attorney unveil this thru discovery the PGA tour will lose all credibility or whatever is left, which is about 0 at this point. All 150 plus PGA Tour members need to unionize just like the NFL, NHL, MLB… to protect "their" best interest not the PGA Inc.

If I was pga commissioner I’d guarantee a modest payout to all players who miss the cut. Because they provide the drama and competition for those that do make the cut…I’d also welcome LIV players for top events but wouldn’t give them eligibility to the FedEx cup…allows for innovation at LIV, sponsors are happy and fans get multiple opportunities to watch the best players in the world compete directly…Everybody wins..l

The only reason the USGA made this rule for all of golf was to get us little people, the non pros to pay for their rule change. The pros do not buy a single ball.

Phil, Bryson, Sergio, Brooks, DJ, Bubba and now J.R, to name a few, obviously have much better intuition and professional representation than Rory/Scheffler et al -still willing to go down with the ship. Regardless of Fed-Ex points and World Ranking's, the Best professional golfers in the world are at LIV right now.

Bottom line is the PGA cannot match LIV resources. Unless PGA does a deal with the Saudis and funded by them they are pushing cow dung uphill. The PGA investors are small change to the PIF money chest. The weakness with the LIV model is that the more top PGA players they sign up, bottom rung players will drop off. Where do they go. Probably does not matter as they would have gorged themselves at the money trough anyway.

The PGA is going down the same path as the PAC 12, it is amazing how a few idiots can destroy something that has been around for a lot of years in a short period of time.

Is the PGA an organization of the players, or is it the players of an organization? The PGA is supposed to be representative of the players, not the other way around. Without the “players” the PGA is nothing!!
