With R and A Ceo Martin Slumbers and DP World Ceo Keith Pellet both resigning, you can expect a rapid flip flop by the DP World tour on its terrible one sided deal with the PGATOUR. I expect very soon to see an agreement between LIV, DP World tour, the rapidly expanding Asian tour, the Sunshine tour in South Africa, the Australasian tour, China tour, Japan tour and the MENA tour in the Middle East. Unless the PGATOUR gets on board it will be isolated. Also a new Major will be created, location shared between these tours, to put pressure on the 3 USA based majors to get on board. Pro golf is going to look very different in 2 years.

The Rory 'McSorryBoy' scenario is interesting from a strategic foresight point of view. Did he not realise that everyone would punctuate his seemingly outspoken, hateful and judgmental opinion with 'BUT YOU HAVEN'T WON THE MASTERS!'? From my point of view, I don't feel any animosity towards Rory because I know the pressure bearing down on him to win The Masters is massive and a heavy burden to bear in terms of his golfing legacy. For us who remained impartial and non-judgmental towards LIV Golf from the beginning, we can hold our heads up high knowing that we were right all along and that reasonable collaboration was key from the beginning rather than the seemingly combative and very defensive tactics adopted by legacy tours (to put it mildly)!
