Rahm was a blow that seems to have kicked Rory into a bit of sense. But many others set the table for the Rahm punch to have rory canvased today.

It’s ok to not remember too many things the Tour Commish said bad, as he mostly had others like Rory do his bad mouthing.

Lol Alex you know you are being brainwashed. It’s extremely skewed for us westerners.

But The reality is many of us are watching liv or well aware of it. Many people feel they cannot like LIv, but everyday that number is falling.

LIv is a true start up building from the ground up in a very competitive industry. But as many of us have known from the beginning, they were NEVER going to lose a bidding war. It is negligent not to have seen that. Talk about not understanding the 101 of geopolitical sports business today. Yet all those people so slow to see that continue to speak for or lead the pga tour. It’s crazy. What do you have to do to get fired in some of these 15$ mill a year gigs?

You are still an apologist for the PGA. Like a trump derangement sufferer. You can't see very far into the future man. As soon as LIV started anyone with a brain could see it was going to be a global golf league with all of the other leagues relegated to feeder leagues. You still think the PGA has power, It had none from day 1. Jay, Rory, Tiger, none of those asses will play any role signifigance in LIV. NONE. You still think the PGA is the end all and be all. Phil and Greg had one goal, well two, one was to destroy the PGA totally. They are doing it. It's a no brainer. Two is to create the biggest truly global golf league. They have already done that. And you asses that think LIV will fold are as delusional as the rest of the PGA fanboys

Rory was given the last 25% ownership stake in a franchise, giving LIV a 14th team. Thus, the turn of face. He's the next and perhaps last BIG domino to fall in the LIV vs. PGAT battle. Tyrell Hatton will be on his team, as will Matt Fitzpatrick.

Greg Norman pointed out in that interview the the pga tour and dp world tour focused in 2 continents. There is a whole world out there and liv has seen that and will capitalize. There is more to golf than the USA and Europe.

Rory has to be nice because he and Tiger want Rahm to play in their sim golf league. They could go w/o DJ, Keopka, and DeChambeau, but when you add Rahm to LIV you have to extend the olive branch so you can get 1 to 2 of those guys to participate in the SIM league.

This article is embarrassing. To says Rory’s commentary has been consistent is crap, and for you to keep supporting him is lowering the standard of your commentary. Stop supporting him because he is from UK. Rory is in it in for Rory, now he has seen its best for him to explore options, or open doors to speak to LIV. You wonder why countries like Australia support LIV?, have a look at how the PGA has never assisted us, or the Asian tour, never encouraged US players to play outside of the country, and always expanded the US too the detriment of the rest of the world. We have fond memories of players such as The Golden Bear, Lee Trevino and all those great European players coming here each Jan/Feb and playing our courses. They don’t come now – LIV does….

I just feel Rory finally realises that Liv is here to stay and if he wants to play against the best players in the world he has to get on board with it. I also think Rory has been used by the PGA. The PGA have just been Bullet loaders and used Rory to pull the trigger.

With Rory calling for his firing among other things he said that were derogatory toward Norman it’s surprising that Norman didn’t tee off on him. It would have been easy and in honesty expected in our current times. So this response was mild in my opinion.

not at all. Rory got a reality check. He talked to other players on the PGA and I bet all said they would play for Liv! So he had time to thin on that, and see he will be the only player on the PGA, him and Tiger and scrubs. How can he say the PGA has the best players, if the Best players are playing for Liv? Also Greg is saying he dont want Rory.

In LIV you sign a contract where you are guaranteed money but have to play every tournament the brass tells you. Rory has simply realized this is what the PGAT should've been doing all along because the players and sponsors both win.

Rory didnt make this interview to address that he has changed his mind about LIV. It was an interview with ex-football players and they didnt talk that much about LIV. Not an interview about LIV. Its the same as you did with Hovland. Made it seem like he was interviewed to address his opinion about LIV when in reality it was a podcast that lastet 1 1/2 hour where they talked about his golf season and golf in general, and he got a question about LIV and they only talked about it for a few minutes.

LIV players talk about growing the game, but how is throwing money after golf players of that caliber growing the game? They should spend it on things that are important in the game.

    As Rory said:

“Instead of giving someone $100m, why don’t you put $50m into grassroots programmes for the R&A or USPGA? Spending that money to actually grow the game and not just buy talent would be a way better way.»

Monahan fell on his sword and should be removed from anything to do with the future. He caused this debacle by questioning pro golfers morals based on Saudi born bombers atrocious attacks. We heard nothing from Monahan when JT won twice in Saudi Arabia. Graeme MacD won there as well. Said nothing about ARAMCO sponsors of the ladies European tour. He is a hypocrite. What could this clown bring to the table? He sat on his arse and did nothing for the PGA tour players. I don't think Greg should be involved either. All those involved in the animosity need to shake hands and move on.

PGA HAS BEEN TAKING ADVANTAGE , of players . What I mean is , it extremely hard to even make the PGA TOUR. but the bottom money winners struggle like a mofo… shouldn’t be that way. Specially when douche bags that run the tour make a pretty penny on the backs of the players of the tour … good for Greg Norman to look out for the players sacrificing their time away from family .

Ironically, seems as though Greg accepted the nice Rahm response gesture more as reconciliation to commit Hari Kari and wanted to help with Seppuku!
The stuff about platforms, ecosystems, capitalizing on the right side of history come across as righteous platitudes.
I'm with you and Rory, purely if it's good for golf in the aggregate in the ideal world, I'm all for it.
But let's face it, realistically it's all about power, control and money.
So I lean more on the side of actions than promises coming from businessmen, and as my wife reminds us – Money talks and BS walks
That said I'm in agreement with @aevans1979 thoughts here that competitive SIM golf may be the Next Big Thing, meaning intermediaries like PGA and cable TV may be further depositioned, making me wonder who will win the slugfest to gobble up the emerging Pro Golf Sim consortium – more Deja Vu all over again.

You could watch Rory’s face when he was saying all the negative stuff about liv and the players, he was saying what he was told to. He didn’t personally agree with it, he was saying what the tour told him to say. Look how his game dropped, he was conflicted, forced to say things he didn’t believe or agree with. We saw the beginning of the end after the Masters when he talked about Brooks and DJ. They are my friends, I’m playing with Brooks tomorrow and practicing with DJ. It’s all bs. If they get along it will be great for golf. Face it, the pga tour has become the perfect example of what not to do in golf, super slow play. The biggest problem in golf. Slow play.
