I don't understand all these takes about the sport being, "diminished". Football around the globe is played at an elite level in multiple countries. All those LIV guys left, but like Akshay and Ludwig burst on the scene and are a blast to watch. Sahith is a joy to watch and has a way better attitude than Rahm or Reed or Tyrell. Both things can exist.
I'm not lamenting that some dudes that play at an elite level in the Prem aren't playing against dudes in La Liga or Serie A or MLS. It really just feels like the narrative y'all have been told to present.
