PGA should not have to explain themselves, look traditional pro golf rewards those who “win”
The purses are huge,$3mil in some cases, now that’s not enough. Golfers want to be even rewarded more for them winning in the past on the pga tour. Liv isn’t interested in journeyman who come in 5th to last. Sure cherry pick pga players who earned a lot of pga money, they are not dumb, take the money, but don’t tell those up and coming that liv is better for the game of golf. It’s not. Bobby jones, greatest amateur would be appalled by the lack of tru dedication to this sport, you don’t win for the prize, you compete to say you were the best at that moment in time. Liv is not golf in my opinion it is reality tv.

Easy peasy. Money talks and bs walks. Employees of any company or independent contractors that work for companies that make money are treated as cash cows. Probably never paid for there contribution. Well, Viktor made $32 million this year from Golf. He has made @$53,599,779 since turning Pro in 2019. These guys hit a Golf ball for a living and get paid very well. Even if a Golfer finishes in the top 30 in 20+ tournaments, they will still be earning millions. It is just too much money for playing a game.
I don't disagree with the lack of leadership on the PGA tour. I do think the main reason players are leaving is the massive payout. It's really all about the $$$. These guys could care less about the PGA tour or for that matter the LIV tour. They care about their bank accounts. As long as LIV can shell out the $$$, you will see more players leave.
A PGA tournament has cuts. Do well enough and you might get invited to one of the 6 events you're bellyaching about.
pga lost its prestige and will never get it back, because 20 of the best players left that tour and ever since the pga has had the web tour replacements watering down the level of competition to make it less than the european tour! with rahm gone its only a matter of $$$ before scheffler hoviland spieth leave also. and rory will be the only one left because he already turned down mega milions, tiger is not going to save the pga!!! the solution is a merge so that all the players are competing in the majors which requires a reworking of the formula for the standings….Norman will go down in golf history has a TRUE GAME CHNAGER , for the better

The PGA officials for many years looted the $$$ …. they left only crumbs for the players. Even for the changes now why would a player stay ? Don't get bitten by same DOG twice ….they have been betrayed. Go join and play another tour.
It's all about the money
All I can say is that when you watch golf on tv the adverts outweigh the coverage , disgraceful .
If LIV get their own channel the PGA is dead . Because they don’t need adverts .

IMO this is totally about greed. I chatted with some player reps, and every one of them stated that pro golfers are the greediest out there. They claim to be growing and bettering the game. But, how? How does paying these guys more $$ make the game better? LIV has taken the competition out of the game and basically turned purses into participation trophies. I don't know the answer, but I do know that throwing more cash at these guys doesn't make the game better for anyone else.
These golfers in the pga make millions. But that's not enough for them?
