Screw all these greedy golfers. What a world we live in. One that allows a rogue country to take over the game of golf and probably many other sports.

These two are like cnn reporters. Bullshitters. LIV cares about its players and fans. Period. Majors, players championship, LIV. PGA should be minor leagues.

I would imagine that the catering costs in the clubhouse might trend downward, so that's a positive of sorts.

Good for Jon. I enjoy both PGA and LIV but seriously PGA is mismanaged and needs to consider changes.
And Jaime, they didn’t “take him away…”. He’s a smart adult man and he chose to move willingly. You act like LIV just comes and grabs players. They ALL go on their own volition. Stop with the “sky is falling” hyperbole.

The PIF doesnt want a partnership with the PGA Tour. Their endgame is to marginalize the traditional majors and replace them with tournaments they declare to be majors.
If a partnership is being negotiated there would be no need to overpay for Rahm. To pay Rahm twice as much as Koepka would serve no point if PGA Tour players could play in elevated LIV events and vice versa. Let's face it, Brooks brings way more attention to LIV based on his social media outburst than Rahm will ever do.
When the public sentiment is established that 300 million is too much money to pass up Rory will take the 500 million offered him.
The outlier is Tiger. His goal this year is to play his way into the top 50. He has a lifetime exemption into The Masters but his other exemptions in the other three majors runs out after the 2024 season. If he doesn't play his way into the top 50 OWGR remember he's Tiger and he's negotiating on behalf of the Tour. He'll cut a deal that gives LIV players exemptions into the majors, take the billion dollars the PIF will offer him and join the LIV Tour in 2025.

Eventually the LIV and PGA will have a merger and the smart ones are the players that took the money. Sometimes you can have your cake and eat it.

I wonder what the real motivation behind this Liv golf is.. makes no sense from a financial perspective they are losing billions. They certainly aren't growing the game they are dividing. Will there be a qualifying school or they gonna buy every tour player? Are there performance clauses ? The fact that they are spending insane amounts of money like this makes me think this is personal for them. All are major financial institutions and big corparations in some way have dealings with the PGA tour.

Golf is tournaments even w Rahm no one cares about LIV If they come together fine but this does not weaken pga tournaments. Rahm did not play up to his level most of last year as well.

What I like about LIV is: 3-day tournaments (4 days is too long), no cut (all players get paid), high purses (wealth attracts fans and TV), Global golf (new great courses and more countries involved), the best players in the world (Rahm, Koepka, DeChambeau, Johnson, etc.), and team play (keeps players focused and trying hard). What I don't like about LIV: loud music (noisy and distracting), shotgun start (removes introductions and drama from 1st tee), and not enough tournaments in the USA (which is the golf capital of the world). Even if the PGA Tour gets billionaire investors, they had better merge with LIV or they will lose many fans. Palmer, Nicklaus, and Woods proved without a doubt, it's the superstars that matter the most. They had better get those golf superstars back on their tour somehow someway, or it's sayonara, ciao, and adios.
