I heard he is trying pretty hard to get on the LIV tour. That insurance payout issue is definitely interesting

LIV should do everything in their power to try to sign AK. He would be such a huge ratings draw. My guess would be that more people would be interested in watching AK back on the course than Hovland or Hatton.

it's funny i wondered about him a while back and i thought he was perfect LIV player if he had his fitness bak, the bug was having to pay insurance company back on PGA tour 'wages' …but a decent LIV contract should be able to cater to that if he still has game..that might get a few eyeballs

The PGAT doesn't pay players. They make the sponsors pay.

I haven’t been watching LIV, but I would if Kim came back. He was tremendous! He would be a good fit for Rahm’s team. He should bargain for $10 plus $10 million- the first $10 million to pay off the insurance company, the second $10 to guarantee maintenance of his lifestyle while he comes back. Well worth it to LIV.

I have heard of his insurance policy and due to the uncertainty of whether he could regain his level of play, it wasn't worth the risk. I suspect that there is a time clause, such as the longer his is away, the less he gets or pays back. Hopefully, since it wouldn't make sense, but this would be a unique policy, so never sure. He may still not be able to regain his performance, but less pressure to get their quick on LIV.

I don’t think AK accounted for the kind of money that was coming to golf when he took this insurance policy. He’s probably been thinking the last couple of years: what have I done !

LIv needs to GET THIS DONE.

This could draw more attention than even tigers latest comeback.

I do wonder if a 38 year old AK will have that same it factor young Ak had. But I’m sure it will still be better than most.

I also worry about what everyone is calling “likes partying” and “having a good time”.

I hope he comes back motivated to be a champion again; and that he isn’t just motivated by the money.

Either way it will be Must see tv.

People will just be curious at the start to see if he can be competitive again. You have to remember why he walked away from golf at the start. It was $$$$ so I don’t think it’s about going back to grind on the pga tour. Seems he’s made for LIV as he will get his payout and then get paid aswell to play every event and it’s not really full time so it would probably fit his lifestyle now. The risk for him to join the pgatour would be if he doesn’t play to a certain level that people expect and he falls by the wayside and keeps missing cuts etc. a sponsor would have to be paying him enough to cover his insurance payout and then some for him to be comfortable. If he took the $$$ in his prime, what u think is his motivation now, to grind and start again on the pga tour or take a guaranteed payout Ip front and then still earn $$$ Everytime he plays. 10 years is a long time to stay out of competitive golf. Remember tiger has been out for about a year and it’s hard for him to be where he was. I think if it was to happen and it is a big IF, he would have to go with LIV to probably make it worthwhile for him. It would be hard to see him winning a major after being out for so long. People can say he’s playing great etc etc but to play in a competitive arena again is a huge step. Go AK!

Amazing how these big sums fluctuate on golf vids these days. Previous vid I saw on Kim, this insurance policy was worth 21 million. Almost as if they're just 'plucked' out of the air sometimes – "what figure shall we impress/sicken them with today?"

AK would be great in LIV, like you said it's practically risk free. Given the fact the PGA Tour and LIV will probably be unified by the end of the year or earlier… Regardless of his decisions it's going to be awesome to see him back!!!

The guy is 38. He is done. Go to LIV where you will be, but for a small handful of players, with a bunch of has beens. At least you will cover your financial needs comprehensively. Lucky to have a mate like DJ.

Who cares really AK never won much ,coulda shoulda woulda but never did ,I doubt he will be better at 38 ,add to the fact no competitive play for 10 years .No one knows what’s in his insurance policy .What I did like was your mention of a wild card player on Liv ,that’s funny ,they’re all wildcards playing in exhibition golf that no one watch’s ,sure he’d be better in Liv as you get paid for playing sub standard golf regardless ,with a handfull of decent players with most of the field made up of has beens and never beens .
