Most of us in India will never watch LIV Golf. It's pre-selected fellows playing for Oil Money. Look at their viewership on YouTube. It's less than the worst song released by a unknown singer in Asia. How much of it paid for by Saudis. Even I got an offer to watch and will be paid😮😮

LIV will never get 1/3 of the audience of the PGA tour but that's ok to them because all they want is to buy an image through sports especially golf which has such a classy gentleman image. I would love for the PGA to say "go fuck yourself" but they are painted into a corner and that can not happen. I for one will never watch 1 second of LIV, they can't buy me.

As a past LIV fan, I consider Rahm another one off the radar. I'm finding it more interesting to watch new players make their mark on the real TOUR. That's were the real competition lives.
I was shocked to find that the PIF, a Saudi oil money mega-thing, remained silent after the Crown Prince reaffirmed support for Hamas—after the Israeli attacks, slaughter. All the money in the world can't make me a fan of them anymore. They were right, PIF is sportswashing. I'm done with them and hope the TOUR is too.
I think it's not just the money, it's to say to those in power in PGA (those that don't even play elite golf) that make stupid decisions that you ruined golf. Like wtf is golf ball rollback? how does this make any sense? its like asking NBA players to wear dress shoes and not basketball shoes, I hope they all leave

LIV will expand to 4 people per hole so 72 players per round. They could easily play 100+ guys during a Fri tournament. Then cut to the top 72 players. If your team doesn’t get a minimum of 3 players in the Fri cut they are out of the team competition for that tournament. But golfers are still playing for the individual win and positioning points.
Could then have a final tournament at the end of the year. It would be better then the FedX Cup.
LIV has infinite money. That’s it. It has nothing to do with format or team play or ability to be “agile”. None of these players would leave, even for a 20% raise. They don’t believe in the format, they are getting paid way beyond their value. Nobody can compete with an opponent who has money that never runs out.

I'm nitpicking but the IBM to Apple analogy doesn't really work because like 4 million people actually care about golf. (I'm one of them obviously) and literally the market for computers was unlimited. Two tours splitting all the top golfers kind of equals an interior tv product for us.

The Pro-PGA Loyalists hate it, but Team Golf is exciting af and they have missed the boat by not capitalizing on it long ago. I loved playing on a Golf Team in High School and College, and I loved Coaching the Local Golf Team. I also love playing in Team scrambles on the weekends. Team Golf is AWESOME, and by not realizing it the PGA might just find itself a feeder league for the LIV Golf model !
Pro golfers have never worked a day in their lives. Golf is a game, remember? You and I pay real money and they get paid ridiculous money to play A GAME. We buy over-priced clubs, balls, gear and pay stupid course fees so that the pros can get it all for free in insanely large quantities. Why wouldn't they take the free money? They ain't stupid, just a little bit lazy, and crazy lucky.
