All the pga tour had to do was allow its members to play a few LIV tournaments. Just make sure its members play at least the minimum number of tournaments to keep their cards. Phil was right, it's a win win for the players. No matter what tour they play on it will be for more money.

When anyone asks why he is leaving, he should just hold up a sign that says "$300,000,000" and point to it, then laugh and walk away.

There isnt a point in staying loyal anymore. Everyone who took the money up front is fixing to be reinstated with this merger. I dont see why anyone would stay loyal at this point. Take the money and run boys, the PGA has turned its back on the ones staying true. Make the PGA pocket book feel it.

What happens with Rahm as a new captain? Can they just add a new team? Or is it going to be at the expense of someone else’s team?

The Tour has been stalling and Al Rumyann decided to flex the PIF muscle with getting Rahm. All they wanted was the two sides to come together in their(PIF) quest to 2030 and their involvement of various sports, but the double dealing PGA Tour, once the anti trust lawsuit was dropped figured they could stall the PIF from poaching their players. Only thing is the deadline of Dec. 31 didn’t stop the PIF from landing Another Big Fish. The writing was on the wall that Rahm was leaving when his name didn’t end up on the AmEx player entry sheet where he was defending Champ. Ever since LIV started I haven’t watched any Tour events because it’s always the same Bullshit. Show only the top 10 players, and their shots or one guys great shot who barely makes the cut. The best is the Hero Tourney where the Golf Channel I imagine(because I didn’t watch) showed Woods’ every swing. Oh, and now he plans to “Hopefully” play once a month(because his little dog and pony show screen golf deal blew over) and the Tour is crossing their fingers that he can show up. Mickelson nailed it 2 years ago and people killed him for jumping to LIV but are finally waking up to the fact that He Was 100% Correct about the Greed of the Tour. The PIF dropped that lawsuit in good faith even though they could easily have bankrupted the Tour.

I have no problem with players taking extreme amounts of money but I don’t get the fans wanting all the players to go to LIV, it’s terrible in comparison.

Tiger Woods is the problem and the whole old boys club mantra. I mean he gets more world ranking points coming 18th in the Hero tournament than other players winning actual tournaments with a cut line in other parts of the world? Good on you Greg Norman. 🦈. Golf is not just played or loved in USA and that is what has been driving the LIV golf startip

    The PGA sucks.
It’s gone woke-ish. Not full blown Insane yet, but we’ll on its way.
I’m mean really, the PGA would love nothing better than to televise 2 minority men on tour, getting married to one another and announcing that one of them is pregnant !
Seriously, they would happily televise and celebrate the fact. As if humanity is getting better, more inclusive, more “progressive”.
    BARF !!!

Not on LIV tour ya don’t.
    No way
Only in Greece – oops- I mean America do we have to put up with this shit.

As I said, the PGA sucks. Always putting out this white guilt bullshit on the air. Like we need to “SAVE” the minorities or some such nonsense.

    It’s so unfair!!!!
Minorities can’t compete without our help.
    BS
    Anyone can.
I had no money, but I wanted to get good at golf. So I thought to myself, took all of 2 seconds to think it through, that I’ll simply get a job at a golf course, and I’ll practice and play almost everyday for free.

    And I did.
I’d cut grass starting at 6am, by 2:30, I was hitting balls.

So go F yourself about minority this minority that.
You’re just a social Justice grifter exactly like the PGA.

LIV tour. So glad it came along.
Make this American tour straighten the F up. Hopefully but probably not. America is now too steeped in the victimhood culture now. The free lunches are just too good now.

My advice: try reading the Bible before you F around and send yourself to hell for eternity.

    How bout” them apples?

Absolute disgrace. Ruining golf. Let LIV take over golf completely. Where will the pro golfers earn a living now.
Spits in the face of equipment manufacturers and all the other suppliers etc. LIV haven’t built anything, only bought things.

    MONEY TALKS!!!!!!!!!!
$600 million (or whatever it is) truly is a staggering amount of money, and the fact that Jon Rahm is guaranteed to play all the majors in the next 4-5 years, and will more than likely win some more.
Think about it, WITHOUT even winning any tournament, he’s going to earn that insane amount of money, so why not change?

If they get more marquee names to LIV, pretty soon you will see the competition on LIV being tougher. Imagine having to play in a field where Rahm, DJ, Bryson, Brooks, Cameron in every single tournament?

The problem with these players joining LIV Golf is that they are endorsing a country that treat its women as second class citizens and not that far from slave treatment. The fact that they endorse that sort of behavior by being a part of it says more about their character or lack of it, than anything else. " If a country wants to give me money to ignore their treatment of half the population, I'll be glad to take it. " A very immoral value system.
