Appreciate the effort NewsNation, unfortunately, Mr. Feherty provided us with nothing here. Just Blah, blah, blah, and "He wanted to do it for his family." 🙄

Pretty empty interview with pre-writed general comments.
Nothing on what disagreements Rahm may have had with PGA Tour’s evolution or lost trust, nothing about how he really came over the major criticism he previously expressed about LIV…
The overall impression is that Rahm’s motives are a combination of :
    – resentment towards PGA Tour’s top management, especially Jay Monaghan, for having felt totally betrayed
    – feeling that said top management was deaf to players requests and unwilling to work together, and that moving towards LIV may be the only/best way to shake the tree
    – BIG MONEY, as his move comes at a critical moment in PIF’s negotiations with the PGA Tour, which made his move most valuable, and as he may attract several others into following
    – gambling on his move and few others possibly giving the final blow to a quick merger which would allow him to get the best of both worlds after the merger and not having to actually suffer LIV’s circus format for long.
    – maybe some self-deceiving (or sincere??) belief that traditional golf format is not appealing enough to attract major public attention worldwide and grow sponsorship money, implying that outside the 4 majors, a more « entertaining » format is preferable. But I’m afraid LIV’s format hasn’t proven very attractive yet…
Overall I really question his honesty and truthfulness. It really looks like a very calculated move, both financially and « politically », and seems to totally disregard the competitive value and faithfulness to tradition. At best, he seems to be lying to himself.

KUDOS to Jon Rahm !! Well done… LIV can trumpet its newest addition and the PGA Tour will go back and lick its wounds as it tries to figure out just where golf is going. Rahm’s signing could be PIF telling the PGA Tour to sit down and start dealing with a little more intensity or we’ll raid your locker room again. In most boardrooms, the side with the most money almost always wins. Bravo Jon Rahm!!!

David is a disgrace from touring the battlefield for USO tours with veterans to bowing at the very feet responsible for putting those same veterans into battle.
