Going to LIV is like going to satellite radio (Sirius etc.). You disappear into obscurity. I know of no one who watches LIV. It's circus golf with embarrassing team names that sound like grade school kids made them up. And I love how Greg Norman acts like he's blazing a trail. Greg, your just a puppet for oil billionaires who are buying a stable of golfers. At the end of the day, Rahm and all the others are Saudi pool boys who'll be playing in a league with a terrible format that no one watches. Do you think he all of a sudden likes the format? No. But, he sold his integrity and his career.

Read my comment below for more of my thoughts on this issue. What I like about LIV is: 3-day tournaments (4 days is too long), no cut (all players get paid), high purses (wealth attracts fans and TV), Global golf (new great courses and more countries involved), the best players in the world (Rahm, Koepka, DeChambeau, Johnson, etc.), and team play (keeps players focused and trying hard). What I don't like about LIV: loud music (noisy and distracting), shotgun start (removes introductions and drama from 1st tee), and not enough tournaments in the USA (which is the golf capital of the world). Even if the PGA Tour gets billionaire investors, they had better merge with LIV or they will lose many fans. Palmer, Nicklaus, and Woods proved without a doubt, it's the superstars that matter the most. They had better get those golf superstars back on their tour somehow someway, or it's sayonara, ciao, and adios.

Jon has not been playing good golf after the Masters. I think it was a smart move by him because only 2 majors. Kinda crazy to think what Scottie Scheffler would make

The PGA Tour is run by egotistical maniacs. It’s disgusting. Why can’t both products coexist? If Monahan doesn’t swallow his pride and see this for what it is, (which is a great thing for the game of golf), his ego will be what eventually ruins the PGA Tour, and that is sad.

Just set it up like soccer…….you have European players that play in the MLS and American players that play in multiple European leagues. Everyone loves when the World Cup comes around, but in the meantime, there are multiple great leagues around the world. Ultimately, in any sport, I want the situations to be able to get the most money to the players. I know that leagues and teams need to be profitable to grow and continue, but we as fans are out to see the players be their best and compete against each other at a high level. I think having multiple leagues helps create an environment that helps more money get to the players.

Rahm switched because of money. Plain and simple. Monahan is to blame for everything that is about to happen. LIV golf sucks but it’s where the money is at 🤷🏻‍♂️

It'll be nice watching him in the majors because liv golf is unwatchable. It's like a beer league with lots of money. And the format is terrible… shotgun start takes away from the great finishing holes to win, can't figure out what hole they're actually on. The coverage jumps around, music sucks … it's not serious.
And none of their Liv wins should qualify as historical towards records except majors.

Can’t blame rhambo at all for taking the money. Albeit irrational that’s an insane amount of cash for a sport that doesn’t get ratings. The weekend scramble drunk fest that is liv golf still remains unwatchable though. Even if the tour goes the way of the dodo the Saudis have badly miscalculated what motivates the American golf market to watch and consume golf. Individual competition with the pressure on within a 72 hole format. Maybe they will develop their own market out of non golf fans but competing against 4 other major team sports in the US or soccer abroad will be insanely difficult and their current ratings bear that out.

LIV Golf(The Saudis)created this because they hate America and these fools are falling for it. The Saudis have a ton of money so investing 2 billion in this crap is nothing to them. Take your blood money and run, good luck and FO!

McAfee is a loudmouthed twit. Ya, we really need to hear his bombastic interview with the latest guy to sell out the tour that gave hime everything inn golf. It made me laugh out loud when he gave his heartfelt comment about having to take the $400 million to provide for his family. The $100 million he has already made put them at risk eh? He is so tone deaf if he doesn't realize how many hard working fans gag when they hear that crap. One last thing on Mc-Laughee -his cheering the sickening about the contract like a druken Frat boy is offensive. His brand is the more outrageous he can be, the happier his dumb fans are. Such a stupid show.

Rahm is NOT the best golfer on earth. And now, after joining LIV, he'll languish as a no talent entertainer for the raghead Saudis. Another nail in the coffin for the sport of golf.

Sadly…Jon planned this all along. I do not believe a single word he says…… just stating he won’t comment about his real money shows his cowardice….. if he, like the others who left had just told queen Norman to shut up … and state it’s only for the money I could truly respect that. LIV does nothing to GROW the game…. Nothing in any way shape or form… the team format is not a team game at all…. It’s fantasy football cause they do not have Ryder cup or even college golf effects. It is sad because of their satan sleeping with evil….. LIV is a good maybe great idea but not anymore…… and your cronies doing these interviews crack me up….. both tours have their butt kissers though. I do wish the majors would have the balls to ban them from the majors…and by no means should they be in the Ryder cup…let their masters in PIF pay for their own Middle East cup….

When you are offered money that comes from a bad place and is more than you're worth in the real world you need an excuse to take it. The "pga went behind are backs" excuse is a popular excuse. The pga was muscled by gangsters. Who knows how dirty the "offer they cant refuse" was. And the ridiculous law suits, bankrolled by the funds of an entire country. This is the worst thing to happen in the history of sport.

“I owe it to my family as a husband and father to provide them with the best (financial) situation I can “ I really always liked the guy, but what a piece of bs! The guy already has made 100reds of millions of dollars on and off court which he will never able to spend in his lifetime. His business anyways, but what a stupid, stupid message to the kids who want to be professional golfers or tennis players or else…
