Hi Alex happy new year. First gut reaction to the news, is that the pga is stalling, and wants to water down the pif involvement by bringing in different parts. I was always taught. If you don't want something to work. Form a committee. Looks like they are forming one.

I have tried and tried to listen to you expecting some news BUT no just talking and talking round the houses, SO matey sorry but the style and lack of proper info that you constantly promise but don't deliver just doesn't work.

Unless the PGA Tour begins to show serious respect for and support of the PGA of America, I hope they get crushed by the PIF. I trust Greg Norman and LIV promoting and growing the game than I do The Players and Governing Members of the PGA Tour. They have proven again and again that their support of growing the game is nothing more than lip service.

Honestly does this even matter anymore? YouTube golf is the way forward. The top 50 golf YouTubers will have more views on the videos in a week (combined) than all the tours.

    “How we watch golf”

So irrelevant to those that want to “just play golf”

We have absolutely no say, so they’ll just do what they want to do🤷🏻‍♂️

More investors into PGA means Jay can get his sticky fingers on more money to make even more money in 2024 than what he made in 2023…like I said before, Jay is in it for himself, not golf or the golfers. Liv should stay on their own, take the players they want when they want, and force the PGA into submission…

I’m with what’s best for the players and now that I’ve seen both sides, seems to me the PGA deserves little respect in that regard and Greg and Phil were right all along.

Looks like the PGA Board members are attempting to do nothing more than secure their seats along their Multi Multi Multi Million dollar salaries SO yet again nothing to do with the players

LIV is a joke, and even adding Rahm, the ratings will still be in the toilet, as nobody gives a crap about exhibition golf!

This whole issue is glaringly similar just like existing politics inside the USA. The days of bullying others, lies and deception are gone. The world has caught up, become more advanced and educated. With growth comes change. The real sinking ship can now be seen. Players, Sponsors, purported sports team investors and fans, especially fans outside the USA, the global majority are growing too. Growing weary with the PGAT and growing more excited about the game otherwise and where it is headed. Lead, follow, or get out of the way days seemingly have passed as the sands of time in the hour glass for the PGAT are soon to be a thing of the past as the hour glass goes to empty. It now, Jan 1st, 2024, not Dec 31st,2023 with no deal in sight and is too late to recover.

    Future of golf IMO
Top tier: World Golf Tour. Currently called LIV. Tournaments played all round world + team events. 72 players or possibly more.
2nd tier: PGAT and DP tours.
    3rd tier: next best tours.
    Promotion/ Relegation
Bottom 4 World Golf players relegated to 2nd tiers. Top 2 of PGAT and DP promoted to the top tier. Continue relegation/promotion through the other tiers. Probably financed and controlled by PIF. Start from scratch again with all players allocated a ranking. Then top 72 or more make up WGT. Just an idea like others.

It’s strange. I always used to watch the golf on sky. I’ve been reflecting on my recent time watching golf on TV. Weirdly since all the mess with Liv I haven’t watched any golf on TV for months! I wonder if anybody else has found the same behaviour? Happy New Year all. 👍😀

Not sure we have any new information here as all of the above has been known all along. You also fail to mention that LIV will also be owned/operated under the new for profit entity.

The new entity combination was always going to be LIV, DP World Tour, PGA Tour, PIF, and minority ownership from sports investors.
