Tournaments attract the best fields they can. Power is with the players now A LIV golfer has an obligation for 14 LIV events and then can be a free agent. TOURS // LEAGUES less value

If PIF buys the DP tour they can afford to raise the the purses on every event to the point that all the big name PGA guys want to play on that tour instead of the PGA, then it's all over.

Everyone in the Golf World owes Phil Mickelson an apology for the way they treated him. Everything he said about the PGA Tour and Jay Monaghan was true.

I really hope what you’re saying comes true: SSG dumps DP tour and Golf Channel. Liv buys DP tour and Golf Channel. Then Liv shapes DP tour to be their format, earn points, and control Euro Ryder cup. Once this happens, more pga players will take the money and jump ship. I’m not a Rory fan but now I’ll be cheering for him to win the Masters so he also jumps ship. That will be a game changer. And then Liv won’t need PGA anymore making Speiths comments true. Create some inter league tournaments and call it good.

I think the most probable scenario is LIV acquiring DP World Tour. Just having the LIV players playing there will make it exciting.

14:40 doesnt matter these young no name golfers can beat anyone. They want a superstar tour nevermind the ones coming up. No name golfers don't sell. Big name golfers might as well go to liv. They dont play every week and when they do they cant win against a solid massive field. I like liv but once u get past the big names the pga tour dominates.

But would SSG/pga cut losses by selling DP tour knowing if they did, Liv would snatch it up and create their own Liv world league that would now earn points. This would give Liv the upper hand and not need pga anymore and continue to lure more players over. And more players will come over once Liv starts earning points. So pga might still want to keep DP tour just to keep it out of liv hands.

So, the 10 events in the "Galaxy Tour" wouldn't carry world ranking points? That would be an interesting twist – the "Guardians of the Galaxy" would have to go back to play with the unwashed to keep their fancy-schmantzy status.

If Scheffler can keep making putts, McIlroy won't be all that any more. Scheffler would become the star and everyone else will be a walk-on like when Woods or Nicklaus were at their peaks.

Have these people never heard of Go Woke, Go Broke? Corporations in the West are now being run by far-left ideologues. The PGAT was long ago overrun by Biden-loving progressives.
The PGAT ban-maniacs despise LIV because they consider LIV to be MAGA: Donald Trump, Tucker Carlson, Greg Norman, Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, Cameron Smith, Pat Perez, and Patrick Reed are all MAGA [Make America Great Again]. This all started when the PGAT banned Donald Trump from staging events. The only people left on the PGAT are sniveling leftists. All of the pro-America conservative golfers have gone to LIV. The PGAT is fast going broke. They desperately need PIF but PIF won't merge without LIV.

We are on the brink of a pro-golf revolution:

9 x PGAT – AT&T [Pebble Beach], The Players Championship, Riviera, Bay Hill, Honda Classic, Memorial, Wells Fargo, RBC Heritage, Travelers

4 x Majors – Masters Tournament, PGA Championship, U.S. Open, The Open Championship

3 x DPWT – Scottish Open, PGA Championship [Wentworth], BMW International Open [Germany]

9 x LIV – FedEx World Tour – Australia, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, Spain, UK, Mexico, U.S. [Trump National Doral], U.S. [Pinehurst], U.S. [Brookline]

25 events every year [LIV events are only three days so the equivalent of 22 events total]. PGAT/DPWT/Majors: 72 holes, 4 rounds, full field. LIV Golf: 54 holes, 3 rounds, half field. And ALL of the best golfers in the world playing ALL 25 events.

What happens to existing PGA Tour tournaments like the Charles Schwab at Colonial. It is the longest running tournament at the same course on the PGA tour. Does the Colonial tournament just get tossed away on the new schedule with a combined tour?

If LIV gets the DP Tour, their format will change more towards the LIV format. The DP Tour could be a LIV East

Ranking system will change to a more accurate system.

Great analysis guys. One aspect that is lost by most. SSG are investors who have time horizons of 5 years. PIF has no time horizon. They are in it for the loooong haul.

The LPGA found a way to work with the PIF in the Aramco Team Series offering Rolex World Ranking points and Solheim Cup points to the individual players without forcing the ladies to choose between which tour they were going to play………..Just sayin, it's time for all of the boys to grow up and end the pissing contest, it's ruining your sport!!! YOUTUBE Golf is more interesting at this point with Bryson, Tommy Fleetwood, Rickie Fowler, Jon Rahm, etc. all collaborating with youtubes finest Grant Horvat, Peter Finch, Rick Shiels, Bob does Sports, The Bryan Bros, and the Good Good Boys!

The question really is: how much more money will Jay Monahan and others who suddenly turn around like Mc Ilroy make by merging the PGATour and LIV Golf ? how much will his salary and bonus increase? All the talk about “growing the game” is all nonsense. It is all about money and personal bank accounts. In 2023 170 people were executed by the Saudi Government. LIV players accept blood money from a Saudi regime that steps on human rights, on democracy and women's right. If you want to grow the game then first of all start growing as humans and grow your human values. Step up for people which are being suppressed and tortured – and stop lying and taking us for a ride. Who cares if Jon Rahm will play the Ryder Cup again. His swing is ugly anyway and nobody wants to watch a player who has blood money in his pockets.
