So will PGA professionals still be allowed to play in the PGA championship?

Omg – I’d pay for a pay-per-view of JUST you two and Feherty covering any tournament by yourselves

Legends. These 53 min flew bye.

As far as some of the topics discussed:

The only thing more boring than 2 boring talking heads in the booth is 4!

As you said they’re could be 3o balls in the air but we get 4 talking heads. It’s like they are joking.

There’s a lot of people who still hate on LIv and I do agree their coverage deserves critique; especially from the likes of you two; but LIv coverage is a big step up.

Golf coverage needs to entertain outside of golf shots but at the end of the day people are tuning in for golf shots.

LIv Breaks from golf shots are used properly to balance the coverage; which is the opposite of what the networks are doing: a few golf shots to Balance all the other stuff.

And I do think the team is being entertaining with a good mix of characters.

I hated the walk and talks first. I’m glad to hear you two dislike them. Your old boy Nantz —whom has become more sheltered living at pebble than Bobby— is in love with them. But I will say walk and talks are not as bad with an interviewer walking with the player. And I will add nbc is doing a better job than cbs on the walk and talks.

Keep up the network war stories. Maybe w/some Chuck Will stories, Franks alter ego.

Love the episodes keep them coming! Peter and Gary are so entertaining, I grew up listening to you guys announce golf and its nice to be able to see you guys together again. The announcers these days are nowhere near as good as you guys were. It's a true testament as to how good you guys are. And also I love the swing tips from Peter Kostis there great lessons I always like to watch to try and get better!

The Netflix series is boring because everything they talk about has already happened. It needs to show current conflicts and personalities. Who cares about how the Ryder Cup team was picked.

You’re an idiot if you watch golf live. I always tape and go through commercials. That’s if I even watch it. Usually, I go to the back nine of the final day and watch. Also, do I want to watch Tiger when he is 10 shots behind the leader? Naw

Love your stories. The two of you could follow up on Fererty’s program and do interviews with current ,past, and individuals relevant to golf. I’d love to hear caddie stories and conflicts they had with their players. Also I’d like to understand when a player let’s say is hitting an 8 iron from 160 yards then several holes later he has an 8 iron from 190-200 yards.

Love the podcast – always informative and entertaining. About what's wrong with current golf shows, I recall watching an interview with Ben Wright. He said when Frank Chirkinian hired him Ben said he was told by FC if he didnt have anything to add to what is on screen don't say a word. Fast forward to today and the announcers never shut up which is annoying for the viewer. As for mis-speaking on air I heard one announcer years ago say "as he's going to play this shot there's a strong wind coming from his rear". I had tears in my eyes.

Great stuff.. So right about still doing golf on TV like it is 1992. No one has new ideas. Also.. More of those stories are great good content.

The tournament at Torry Pines was a joke this year with all the A-class golfers leaving the PGA and going to LIV. Like the Sentry in Hawaii, all these unknowns win because there are no good players left in the PGA, except a few who only want to show up for the big events.

The Players finally felt like a major this year – without voicing about it like in the past. Certainly seems better than PGA Championship that got devalued by being sandwiched in May.
Plus, prospects on Europe side not too great… Ryder Cup would be buying that at the top – as well.

Buying the PGA would further enhance the position of PGAT in keeping out the LIV players even more. So now the LIV guys will not be able to play Ryder or PGA Champ ….. So the fans that want to see the best v best can just go shove it, we want some revenge. And we want to hold on to the superior Tour Title and continue to keep the best players in the USA only ……… well, if this happens the current Karma that is engulfing the PGAT will increase 10 fold and will bring about a collapse in viewership from disgruntled fans

Excellent podcast…great to see what you two faced. What about letting shorts come to the PGA and minimizing the 1 foot putt shots, or beaming back to an already made shot with the commentary that is so obvious that the shot is in the hole, or an incredible shot.
