So Rory has woken up and smelled the BS he has been dishing out….what does he want a "gold star?" A golf professional is just that "a GOLF Professional" and thus the player should do as he feels is best. LIV is a very fun and rewarding tour…far batter than the PGA in my book!

Rory should learn to keep his mouth shut before thinking things through. He is obviously not the sharpest knife in the drawer and he should have treaded lightly when LIV started because you should always keep your enemies close and lay in the weeds because you never know where you will end up in life. If I was Greg Norman I would NEVER allow Rory to play a LIV event.

Why won’t anyone tell us what brooks said ?
You are mistaken if you think after all LIv has invested they are going to become some end of the year side show.
LIv will continue to sprinkle its schedule throughout the year. They want their players to have the end of the year and early in the year off.
Golf is different than cricket. This will be like the WGCs where those events were mixed in throughout the year.
As for whos the premier tour, LIv may have more money than the majors but the majors are more premier. I’m not sure over time the pga tour will be able to do the same. Eventually LIv will be the dream tour of pro golf for everyone.

I’ll add Phil and Shark continue to show leadership skills. Phil calling for peace and Shark truly continues taking the high road while pressing forward with this decades long plan.

I appreciate Rory apologizing (somewhat) but I would love to see Rory name some people like Greg Norman and sincerely apologize for some of the things he has said. There are many of them.

Anyone that believes anything Phil Mickelson says is for any ones benefit… other than himself… is a fool…ad Rory Mcilroy and Tiger Woods to the mix and you have the Trifecta of idiots that make Jay Monahan look like an "Angel" that saves Golf…The best thing that could happen to the game of Golf is to scrap "Professional Golf " ban it forever and start allover again with a ball and a stick and a hole and a flag …and a few beers with your friends or family at the 19th hole !!!

I fully agree..there should be a negotiated space for both formats, and have also been saying for sometime now, that both formats should operate on different platforms. Much like five day Test cricket, one day International cricket and T20 which is played annually around the world, without any problems. Dress code for LIV Series should be long or short pants, and the more traditional PGA / DP and other Tours would be long pants only, with qualifying and a cut after 2 rounds..including the Majors. The important issue though, is that the future of golf is not harmed in any way.

I think the comparison to how the current cricket system is evolving is a good one. LIVgolf is absolutely the equivalent of twenty20 cricket which is faster and less time consuming attracting a younger audience, with test match cricket the equivalent of the golf majors a much longer event but still exciting and for the cricket/golf fanatics the pinnacle of the sport. Unfortunately all other formats of cricket are now only feeder events for T20 and test matches which I believe is what will happen to the PGA & DP tour this is just how the world is evolving people now want instant results and entertainment not only with sport but everything in life. PGA and the DP tour-can not turn back time with this legacy stance very few fans can tell you 6 winner from last season from either tour.

Money talks. Maybe the penny has finally drop with mcilroy that Saudi money can’t be turned away. PGA events struggling to attract major sponsors because all the top players aren’t there can only last for so long. Maybe rory has missed his big payday opportunity too? Maybe he should have been listening instead of spouting out bile against players who moved to liv golf😂

I believe after the PGA asked the SSG to cut a deal with PIF the players realized that their organization will let everybody make money but the players themselves. Since the deal will be sealed soon more and more players from the PGA are looking to get an opportunity with LIV.

Phil was right, he doesn't need to pile on! Rory said that the LIV tour exposed the PGA and that is really all Phil and Greg Norman were trying to tell everyone, maybe people didn't like the way they went about it, but they weren't wrong and now Rory has seen the truth! The PGA also didn't help their case by not being truthful with their own players and Rory, Tiger, JT, Rickie, and the rest have been slapped in the face for their loyalty.

unfortunately Rory mcilroy has allowed himself to be manipulated into being the PGA mouthpiece. in some ways you feel.for him because Jay mohahagn has fed him what to say. subsequently, he has been left out to dry once the merger talks are on the horizon.
Jay monaghan should be getting the heat but it's falling on mcilroy.

I think you are missing the point 🤷‍♂️ I think the PGA is struggling for money, Liv Golf has got it seems endless amounts of money 🤔 I think Liv Golf wants to run the whole show and won’t be happy having a small section of the season for experimenting with the format 🤷‍♂️ this is a take over and the sooner Rory & others realise that the better 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

I think Rory is absolutely envious of Jon Rahm's agreement with LIV. Rahm has suffered very little blowback as he had much more class than Rory in his comments about LIV players and officials. Rory now sees that the fake 'blood money'/defection narrative just no longer works. He is now fearing he will be left behind so is despeartely trying to change his opinion so he hopes everyone will forget his vitriol, move on and he can secure his own large LIV contract. Rory is as fake as they come.

I am a never LIV golfer. Remember when we said we'll never forget after 9/11? This is the problem with us Americans. We have short memory and we get easily sidetracked by few dollars. Am I sympathetic to Koepka's and Rham's for chasing money? No. They already had tons of money yet their greed got the best of their judgement. I'd like to see us Americans come together with some national pride. But the public acceptance of Saudi sport washing says we are not that united.

There is a totally ignored topic in this fiasco since it started—INGRATITUD E! The PGA gave these men a platform to showcase their talents—TV—and many of them became millionaires. IMO, IF IT WEREN'T FOR THE PGA they would still be playing on Country Clubs and Muny courses FOR THEIR OWN MONEY!!! PROVE ME WRONG! KUDOS TO TIGER AND RORY!!!

Phil was the reason I started playing golf in the late 1990’s after my uncle gave me a magazine about him when he turned pro. He really was my hero. I looked up to him so much. Now, I cannot even see a picture of him without getting pissed off. he abandoned the people who made him. He is doing this 100% for money. I couldn’t be more disappointed. Also Jon Rahm was another favorite of mine. He seemed like he was passionate. Now I realize he’s just like Phil. The only golfer I’ve followed and looked up to is Tiger. Tiger has never been a disappointment. He knows the PGA made him unlike Jon and Phil. Tiger even turned down $1.billion from LIV. I hate what this has done to golf. All the saudis and Liv want is to buy their way to the top where the pga tour spent decades getting to. It’s sad golf is only becoming about money and it’s even more depressing that guys who I looked up to are this shallow.

LIV IS GOING TO RUIN GOLF. And you know what, I think that’s what the saudis want. They’re jealous of the PGA and they want to be the replacement. I hope more guys start defending the PGA who GAVE EVERY PRO GOLFER ON LIV THEIR FIRST SHOT. Not Liv the PGA.
