Let them go. Screw them. Buddy up with the other investment alternatives that Tiger mentioned as an option.

You boys at GC need to wrap your heads around the role you played to put the pga tour in this horrible position by emboldening and supporting their foolish decisions all along.
That’s the problem with being a mouthpiece and not free journalists.
You could have sat there for years telling the pga tour how foolish they are being not to work with people who can systematically beat them with money and innovation.
Y’all helped Monahan make the bed you are in.
As many like I said from the beginning eventually there will be a compromise, but each and everyday that goes by the pga tour leverage sinks.
And it is not coming back, even with the owgr being wreckless as they have to be to give the Tour a little bit of leverage.
    Players are over it.
    After June 6
They increasingly don’t care about owgr and may be starting to care less about majors and Ryder cups if they are going to be continuing to hold players out who can win majors. Because the whole point of rider cups and majors is you play against all of the best, but that is increasingly not the case. So yes guys are going to keep moving over.

I’ll say it again because I truly do love the pga tour and golf channel for that matter: make a deal already. You gain nothing by continuing to stand up to someone 10 feet taller than you.

Many fans are over the pga tour but I want to see the top pga tour events have most if not all of the worlds best, just like I want to see that on LIv. And the majors. And the Ryder cup/presidents cup.

We can make this happen still. If y’all wake up already.

The PGA TOUR officially died when Jay Monahan failed to work with Rory. I will support Rory McIlroy 100% when he joins LIV golf. With great power comes great responsibility.

Monahan should have been fired when he stabbed the PGA players in the back. Rahm is smart to take the money.

Jon Rahm will now singlehandedly give the Saudis all the leverage in the world when negotiating a deal come January and that's contemptible – all because of greed!!! Jon -"It's not all about money you know. I like that the PGA is a meritocracy with a rich history and legacy. You want to have a career that you can be proud of." What a double-faced deceitful character he is…..just like Monahan!!!

He earned $16 million last year. If that doesn’t fill him than nothing will content him!! Glad he sold himself!! He knows the competition in PGA is hard work!!

It is a laughable amount of money for ONE golf player, but the leverage to do a deal with the PGA and effectively take control of the professional game of golf, makes that sum worth it to the Saudi's I guess. If people think the Saudis are doing this for the love of the game and its traditions, then they may be in for for a shock. This is a business investment for them, nothing more. Eventually, they will want to see big returns and when they have majority control and no one to answer to, then people may regret cheering so hard for this takeover.

Call it leverage you want…. The END is near for the PGA Tour it’s just a matter of time. Circle of the Sport and what goes around comes around. More will likely follow. Let’s be reminded that GOLF greats like Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Arnold Palmer, Lee Trevino and their other mates who way back then played tournaments under the PGA of America (founded in 1916) in 1960 began the process of breaking away and in 1975 the organization they created achieved full independence from the PGA of America and was named the "PGA Tour." The coming of LIV Golf is no different … In reality PGA tour is a SUNSET tour. Changing of the Guards !!

USGA, OWGR, and R&A can make a ruling that the present system of 4 day 72 hole competition structure will remain.

Major championships should also add OWGR will also be considered instead of flat out entry of the Major winners after two years of winning a Major.

The PGA tour has been horrible dealing with LIV since LIV started. As a bussiness owner you have to assess your competition. This isn’t the European tour, this is a nation state that literally prints money with oil. From the beginning it was obvious the tour couldn’t push back like they did when the European tour was attracting top players about a few decade or so ago. Back then the pga tour did exactly what LIV is doing by using money/higher purses to keep players.
At some point you have to capitulate and move on. Quite frankly I hope ten more top players move on. The tour at this point has everything to lose and nothing to gain playing bad in the sand box.
As a bussiness owner I would have embraced them from the start and somehow leveraged their influence into bigger PGA tour purses., more PGA world wide exposure. Jay is a Putz, just listening to him talk he’s a putz. If I were doing bussiness with the PGA I would request a different representative to talk to.

Headline should read "John Rahm endorses treating women as second class citizens by joining LIV golf which is sponsored by Saudi Arabia." Women's rights second to his personal wealth.

No one talks about how bad the pga is for the players and how controlling they are. It's an elite club where you can barely crack in and most don't make any money to survive. It's control first and then the game. It's not the game first and then control. They are slowing changing because they have to now. They are in bed with PIF so no difference there.
