LIV is getting its own Rules of Golf committee because the R&A really is “ancient” in its thinking.

in formula one, it seems to me that the engines must develop the same power or the same displacement, only the driving makes the difference.it will be the same for golf players.
in golf, not all balls and clubs perform the same.

No it wasn't LIV's fault it was the greedy PGA gnomes who were unfair to the players.

There is too much money out here among the great unwashed, too much money and power vested in the several corporations who make golf equipment and sponsor R&A, DP World and PGA events, and not enough respect and authority left in the old timers R&A/USGA coffers for them to withstand the current flood.
Don't get me wrong, I think this LIV thing is a complete waste of time and money, and I suspect that most of the participants do as well, but as long as the Saudis want to continue to throw their cash away at this rate, why stop them? Never get in the way of your enemy when he is making huge mistakes.
As long as the R&A is concerned with growing the game, it and the forces currently arraigned against it will get along fine. As soon as the R&A and the US USGA Fudds decide that they are there to protect the game from changing to suit someone other than themselves, then they become irrelevant. The golf ball rollback is a typical issue that is taken up by the R&A/USGA that almost none of the people who play or supply the game want.

The rollout of the golf ball rollback is expected hat condemns him in my mind. The idea of “sustainability” is either a wildly dissonant perspective, or an outright lie. How many players at your local club play from the tips?

The rollback is to keep a handful of historic courses in the professional golf list of venues, and/or to keep scoring similar to historic scoring at these venues. Anything else that the USGA or R&A says is a LIE.
