Jay killed the PGA on June 6th but also created the chain of events that led to June 6 for decades of ignoring the player contractors.

I always said Cam Smith signed for way too little…should have been more like 300M. as the reigning British Open champ

PIF are serious people…..they have no time for crooked fools like PGAT management. I think the corrupt OWGR decision recently was really dumb….PIF know that PGAT arranged that…

Jon, like all big name PGA players, has a charitable foundation that will HUGELY benefit from this. I'm not saying he only had altruistic motivations, but it would be almost criminal to NOT take this opportunity to do a lot of good for causes close to his family's heart.

KUDOS to Jon Rahm !! Well done… LIV can trumpet its newest addition and the PGA Tour will go back and lick its wounds as it tries to figure out just where golf is going. Bravo Jon Rahm!!!

from what I see Liv has the best players! Liv now has 2 of the Major winners from this year on their tour. Liv might have had more Major winners if they was allowed to play, I said it before Liv is the future and that train is rolling all over the PGA! Im hoping there is NO deal with the PGA!

I believe Rahm intended to stay loyal until the PGA proved they weren’t, then you decide you have a price. He shouldn’t be held to comments pre June 6th.

The Pro Tour worldwide should now be entirely separated from the amateur game – it's become an obscene money-grabbing soap opera in which "the good of the game" now means nothing more than "whatever makes us top pros even richer". Headlines about pro golf are no longer about who plays better than who, who managed a course better or whose short game wizardry gives them an edge, it's just about defections, huge payouts and limp excuses for taking soiled money. The true spirit of golf is no longer to be seen in the Pro Tour, it resides now solely in the amateur game, which is where the R&A and USGA should now focus, leaving the pros to their increasingly unenjoyable and irrelevant sideshow for their ra-ra armchair audience. Let the real golfers get on with playing real golf in the real spirit of the game. Please.

USGA, OWGR, and R&A can make a ruling that the present system of 4 day 72 hole competition structure will remain.

Major championships should also add OWGR will also be considered instead of flat out entry of the Major winners after two years of winning a Major.

VC and PE is different. You're getting it wrong. VCs do not 5 refrigerator companies. PEs do.

Why don’t LIV sign Scheffler, Hovland, Aberg. They don’t seem that serious about destroying the PGA tour. They still want a seat at the table. They would cancel the 54 hole shotgun start , team format in a heartbeat if Jay agreed to a full merger. PIF Pga Tour maybe have a couple of events in Saudi Arabia.

Jon Rham is a self employed business person. If a great offer comes in to your business you have a decision to make. Take it or leave it?

Rahm’s signing could be PIF telling the PGA Tour to sit down and start dealing with a little more intensity or we’ll raid your locker room again. In most boardrooms, the side with the most money almost always wins.
