People aren't putting money in the bank they can't make money off the interest so they can't afford to pay the players to play the money they want

Honesty what does a sponsee get in return. The tiger woods effect is now gone and most average golfers don’t know who the top 10 area anymore. Not to diminish the players but it’s whatever these days

Probably the nerd in charge at Wells Fargo is not a golfer . That is what happened with Humana in the Desert . Also pressure to sponsor lpga events with very very low ratings that are basically a donation in many cases because nobody is watching

It costs them too damn much. Where do you think all this "increased purse $" comes from.

All the extra millions of dollars that Wells Fargo swindled money from years ago should have negated their sponsorship membership anyway.

I don’t think sponsors and shareholders like being used to fund a pissing contest between PGA tour and LIV.

Quail Hollow also hosted the Kemper Open back in the 70s. With a field that included Tom Weiskopf, Gary Player, Lee Trevino, and Ben Crenshaw, it was a wonderful time for golf. No Jack or Arnie there, and Tiger was still in diapers (in 1977 when I attended).

Wells Fargo with is shady business ops😱. Geez, every other week that bank is running foul of FDA regs or cheating their customers. They have settled so many law suits, their discretionary money is possibly compromised.

Rahm, bryson , Dustin, Brooks, Cameron Smith, Reed , Gooch are but a few world class players on LIV roster . Why would PGA Tour sponsors pay more and more to have vastly diluted fields ?

LIV could have the ghost of Arnold Palmer in his prime facing off against the spirit of Bobby Jones and I still wouldn’t tune in. Why? Out of loyalty to the PGA? Hell no! Because I remember 9/11 and I oppose extreme theocracies that execute their citizens for their personal beliefs; it’s really that simple

Wells Fargo financially has slipped over years / stock is trading 2.5x lower than market at large / liv golf is just an excuse to trim their costs

Why sponsor an event when some of the best players aren’t available to play.
That’s why LIV is a pain.Taking the best from an established model. All the LIV players have earned a good living. Now dumping the very tours who have enabled their paths. I think it stinks

You want ridiculous sponsorship costs? Try F1 or MotoGP. Whole different level of cubic money there. Frankly, I could not care less that heavyweight sponsors are backing out of pro sports.
